If you haven't already guessed from the title or from the picture right above then i am bringing you a health blog post where i will be sharing with you four tips on how you can ensure you stay hydrated this winter.
We all know that water is essential to the human body. Yet, many of us fail to drink it. We fail to drink enough of it, often enough. Staying hydrated not only helps with your alertness, controlling appetite, improving activity and sport performance, but it also keeps every day symptoms like fatigue, headaches and dry skin at bay. So please do remember that keeping your body hydrated is vital for proper functioning.
Tip 1) Always carry a water bottle whilst out and about:
Here's a piece of advice that's easy and efficient always carry a water bottle with you wherever you go. Sometimes we all forgot to keep hydrated and this is a common problem amongst the majority of us. If you're one of those people who have trouble remembering to drink water while out you could try buying a good quality water container. Think of this water container like an accessory, so perhaps water will be more appetizing in a pretty container.
Tip 2) Try making your water more interesting and flavorful:
Make drinking water fun and flavorful by adding a burst of flavor i don’t recommend adding sugary powders to water as you’ll dramatically increase the number of empty calories you are consuming. Instead of adding sugar why not add your favorite fruits for a natural sweet taste it's like making your own vitamin water. This definitely counts as an effective and delicious way to increase your hydration. Who says that drinking water must be boring and plain?
We all have a morning routine right? We wake up, brush our teeth, take a shower, get dressed and so on the list could go on. From now onwards why not start your day with a lovely glass of water. It will help replace lost fluids during sleep (when we wake up, our bodies have often gone without food or drink for more than eight hours). Also drinking ice cold water first thing in the morning is an easy way to speed up your metabolism and can contribute to your other weight loss efforts.
Tip 4) Drink water whenever you think you are hungry:
Did you know that sometimes you may think you are hungry but in fact your only just thirsty? If your answer is No, then make sure the next time you feel or think your hungry to try drinking a full glass of water because maybe you'll realize that you were only just thirsty. Also do drink a glass of water 15 to 30 minutes before your meals and remember to serve water with every meal you have, not only will you help keep yourself hydrated, you will also be less likely to overeat.
